It takes a lot to get the campgrounds ready for another seasons of camps and retreats, so if you are willing and able to help, we’d love to have you join us to tackle projects around the grounds this spring!
This year, there are two opportunities to help:
Project Weekend: May 13-15
This is a weekend dedicated to taking on some of the improvement projects around the ground. Projects include getting the pool prepped for water, painting cabins, fixing plumbing and electrical around the grounds, and major carpentry repairs on decks and cabins.
Laborers with skills in plumbing, electrical carpentry, HVAC, welding, and painting are especially desired.
Unskilled laborers will be assigned to assist in all projects. This is a great opportunity to learn some new skills!
Some projects include:
- Painting (various buildings around Greenwood camp)
- Powerwashing
- Plumbing/electrical repairs
- Deck and siding repairs
Cleanup Weekend: May 21-23
This weekend is meant to help prepare indoor spaces for guests by cleaning and re-opening buildings around the grounds. Your participation helps keep the initial start-up costs of Greenwood down. This is a great opportunity to work with believers to clean and prep areas of camp for visitors and staff to stay for the summer. Invite your youth group, assembly, and friends to take part!
Laborers of all skill levels and ages are desired! Training, instructions, and supplies provided!
Tasks include:
- Mowing/weedwacking
- Leaf / gutter clean up
- Cabin cleaning (sweeping, bathrooms)
- Cleaning supplies distribution
- Deep clean of the kitchen
- Deep cleaning of all publicly used building spaces
- Vacuuming
- Window cleaning
